I received my order of all the different proteins and a few different gnaws and my golden LOVES all of it! The quality of the meat is amazing too which is so important to me. I can tell these two really care about the quality of their products as well as the health benefits to all the animals who are receiving them! If you’re deciding on whether or not to buy from them, do! My package arrived rock solid frozen in 36 hrs!

I recently saw that Viva was a new company selling ground raw for pets. I always like to try new companies. When the package was delivered I opened the box and found the food was packed wonderfully. The packages were also done well and made easy to use. My dogs loved the food, the variety was good. I’ve been feeding my pups for about 14 or 15 years raw and have also made my own. The company has done a great job and would not hesitate to order again.

We've answered a few common questions right here. If you don't find what you're looking for, check out our FAQs.
We're proud to be sourcing high quality, USDA human-grade ingredients from smaller farms. These are the same farms that stock your local Whole Foods & favorite restaurants. We hold our suppliers to the same Viva standard that we practice ourselves, and are proud to be supporting local businesses & farms whenever possible.
We never partner with organizations that give animals hormones and antibiotics, or support overcrowding at farms. Here at Viva, we believe that the quality of life of the animals we use directly impact the quality of the food we create.
We ship M-W & always send your package out on the following business day (i.e. if you order on Monday, expect it to ship out on Tuesday)! You can learn more about our shipping schedule depending on your location here.
For customers we are able to service with ground transit (East & Mid-East US), we are proud to be offering a flat-fee shipping rate (zone-based):
— Zone 1: $15 for orders between 10-80LBs — Zone 2: $20 for orders between 10-80LBs — Zone 3: $25 for orders between 10-80LBs
We have a minimum order size of 10LBs for any shipment and a maximum flat-fee order size of 80LBs. You can absolutely order more than 80LBs, just know that another flat-fee rate will be applied for the next 80LB increment when you check out! Ordering in 80LB increments will be always be the most cost efficient.
For customers out West, we offer a 2 or 3-day express option to ensure your order arrives fresh & frozen. The total charge is based on weight & destination and we recommend ordering in 40 LB increments to save. We've worked with our carriers to make this as affordable as possible and are always looking to improve on these rates.
If you ask your pet, they’ll tell you they need everything in the fridge. Lucky for you, we have some more sensible guidelines:
Feeding Guidelines (per day)

Low / Overweight

Above Average

High / Weight Gain

6.5
Growth (0-6 mo)
6-10%
9.5 - 16
As an example, a 50 LB dog who has average activity level would eat 2.5% of its bodyweight daily, or 4 oz x 5 = 20 oz. A 10 LB cat who is overweight would eat 1.5% of their bodyweight daily, or 2.5 oz. These numbers provide a good starting point for most pups & cats.
If feeding smaller or toy dog breeds (< 20LBs), it's important to add 1-1.5% to all percentages since smaller dogs will need more food as a percentage of their bodyweight. For example, you would feed an average activity level large dog 2.5% but a smaller breed 3.5-4.0% instead.
If you're feeding puppies or kittens instead, you will need to feed a higher amount of food to fuel all that growth! Pups & kittens less than 4 months old may require up to 10% of their bodyweight daily (often in more frequent meals, i.e. 3 instead of 2 per day). This dips to 6% of bodyweight daily by the 6 month mark and will continue falling to the 2-4% when they are adults!
As always, each pet is unique and these amounts can and should be adjusted based on their needs. Reach out to us if you have specific questions about feeding amounts and we'd be happy to help! If you haven't already, also make sure you check out our transitioning guide for raw.
